Description

Heron in Ambleside

Stock Ghyl runs through Ambleside alongside the very busy Rydal Road. Yet less than 5 yards from the road and about 20 yards from Bridge House, for those who know where it is, was this Heron proudly strutting his stuff along the side of the Ghyl. May 2014

Good sharp close-up shot, Dave. I know from experience how herons tend to fly away at any sign of danger, so you must have been stealthy.
