Exeter Cathedral Close

Cathedral Close is a road in Exeter which has a number of old houses standing on that may belong to the Cathedral. It also has shops and commercial premises towards the end. Number 10 Cathedral Close has a rather impressive solid oak door. It is built in pieces that are expertly joined together and is studded and carved beautifully. No 10 was once where the Bishop of Crediton lived. I have never seen it opened but I believe it opens to a garden courtyard area, shared by No 10 and No 11.
