Description

Fridaythorpe

The highest Village in the Yorkshire Wolds standing 561 feet (171 mtrs) above sea level. Originally there were two ponds that supplied the water to the village for many years, one was for human consumption and the lower one, in the picture, was for the animals. The top pond was filled in in the 1970's and now forms part of the village green.
