Are you aware this is the little bridge that Dirk Bogarde writes about in his “Great Meadows” book? A fantastic read, If you like Alfristone your will love the book and the stories Bogarde tells, a little boy living and growing up on the Sussex Downs in a time now lost forever in the past.
