The Son of Man statue

The Son of Man statue is situated in the Cathedral Close of Canterbury Cathedral, on the grass beside the great building's South wall. Son of Man is a name used by Jesus to refer to himself. The statue, an unusual one and quite unlike the usual depictions of Jesus, was created by David McFall. It was unveiled in October 1988, less than a month after the artist's death.
