The Redundant Anglican Church of St Mary on Strand Street

On Strand Street, next to the medieval pub the King's Arms, is the redundant Anglican church of St Mary, which is a Grade 1 Listed building, due to its heritage. The church was originally built in the 11th Century, by the wife of King Canute, but has been rebuilt many times since, due to wars and even an earthquake.
