The war memorial in Kirton-in-Lindsey, Lincolshire, is engraved with the names of the 38 local men who died in World War I, an addition was later made honouring 8 other sons of the village who died in World War II. The Monument if inscribed "For God, for King, and Country To the Glorious Memory of the Men of Kirton-in-Lindsey Who died in the Great War 1914 - 1919 This monument was erected by public subscription, September 26th, 1920
