Port Sunlight was built around the end of the 19th century for the workers of the Lever Brothers Soap Factory (manufacturers of Sunlight Soap). The pretty cottages seen here were built in the 'Arts and Crafts' style in the belief that the workers deserved pleasant and artistically designed housing. William Lever was a philanthropist and Port Sunlight was conceived as a model village to include schools, a church, recreational facilities, a theatre and a swimming pool. The company continued as Lever Brothers until 1930, when it combined with the Dutch company Margarine Unie to become the multinational brand Unilever.

The lamp post spoils the view. A crop is needed, and so it doesn't look lopsided a similar crop at the other end would be in order. I tried it in paint shop and it works well.
