Description

Blanchland Lord Crewe Arms

The Lord Crewe Arms dates back to the 12th century. Here, the Jacobite Rebellion leader General Tom Foster hid behind the inn’s great fireplace in 1715. The Lord Crewe Arms is said to be haunted by the ghost of Dorothy Forster, who waits for the return of her brother Tom from exile in France.
