A Lovely Cotswold town near Oxford
Burford is well worth a visit, being situated just outside the beautiful city of Oxford (around a 30 minute drive) and is known as the southern gateway to the Cotswolds. The town is situated on a hill with a broad high street full of interesting boutique shops, little cafes and some charming little pubs to eat and drink in. At the bottom of the high street is an ancient bridge that crosses the pretty river Windrush. The town is full of ancient buildings, side streets to explore and an absolutely magnificent church which should not be missed.
5 stars - Excellent!
