The Last Lap ???

This shot is not in fact in the Brooklands Museum but opposite the entrance to the local Tesco and M&S but what it does show is a section of the banked race track from the hey-day of Brooklands Racing Circuit. As you can see , nature is slowly taking over but the high banking can be seen and the thought of those early racers going past at nearly a ton in those cars with none of the safety built in like todays cars. I believe quite a few came to grief and went over the top.
