Orange-tip (Anthocharis Cardamines) Male in Whiteley Woods

The Orange-tip is common in England and Wales, but more localized the further north you go and largely absent from Scotland. It is one of the few species that don't form colonies, but wander aimlessly along hedgerows and woodland margins to find their food and mates.
