Great Charfield Manor

The Manor House is late medieval, built around 1470-80 and was moated. I don't believe the moat completely exists now but there's certainly water front and back. Subsequent owners have included Sir Richard Gurney, a Lord Mayor of London, Evelyn Pierrepoint, 2nd Duke of Kingston upon Hull, George Fuller MP and his son Robert who gave the property to the National Trust in 1943. I have thoroughly enjoyed my visits here, if this your thing then it is well worth a visit.
