View from Oliver's Castle over Bloody Ditch

Bloody Ditch runs along the line of bushes. It got it's name after the battle of Roundway Down on 13th July 1643 when the fleeing Parlimentarians were driven over the steep slope at the edge of Roundway Down and into a ditch at the bottom by the triumphant Royalist Army.
