Description

Corporation Park

Flora ... the Roman Goddess that made trees bloom presented to the park in 1871 - Corporation Park is a 44 acre traditional Victorian Park close to the centre of Blackburn, in Lancashire ... the park was opened on October 22nd 1857, 60,000 people attended creating a sensation in the town. It's now registered by English Heritage as a park and garden of special Historic interest.
