Malvern Link Station 1963

Many of my old photos don't show things have changed much but this station certainly has, after googling to check for current photo's. All the roofing has disappeared and only the building on the end of the opposite platform seems to remain and the bridge. So here is a bit of history.

A great view of the old station. My parents used to go walking in the Malvern Hills and caught the train here, I remember Dad telling me about it.

I remember this station very well as my granddad & grandmother and aunte used to live in the station house back the early 1960's.the station house is at the end by the bridge had a red door. myself and my sister used to have lots of holidays there and long walks up the Malvern Hills. my granddad used to work for GWR as a Guard on the passenger train from Malvern Link to London Paddington. They moved back to Chipping Norton around 1963 or 1964.I and my Wife are going some-time this year to take a historic visit to the station and hills.
