Derwent Valley

The nine arched Lockhaugh Viaduct is an old dismantled railway line that ran between Consett and Newcastle. It is now part of the Derwent Walk and is incorporated in the C2C National Cycle Network. The Gibside Memorial can be seen in Snipes Dene Wood forming the background.
