A picture of Hughenden Manor

The Victorian prime minister Benjamin Disraeli, who was Queen Victoria's favourite, lived here from 1848 until his death in 1881. It is still furnished with his belongings including books and many pictures and portraits of his family and friends, including members of the Royal Family. The gardens are a recreation of the colourful design of his much loved wife Mary Anne and some wonderful walks can be had through the surrounding woodlands and park.
