Monkton Park is located near Chippenham Railway Station and it is a magnificent place for pleasant walks.

It indeed does look very pleasant. The name Monkton Park brings back memories of working underground in the area back in the 70's, the old bathstone mines that go for miles underground there were taken over by the military during the war and were used for storage thereafter. One of the underground areas was called Monkton Park.
