Female Adonis Blue butterfly on the cliffs at Dover
When I visited the White Cliffs in August, there were hundreds of butterflies among the chalk grassland, and there was one spot where they were particularly concentrated. I saw Common, Chalkhill and Adonis Blues, as well as small copper, marbled white and other species.
