We have booked our 1st trip to England - leave April 11th:  I was speaking to someone today and they advised me to take a rain jacket, umbrella and duckies, is that necessary.

Hi Brenda, and welcome to POE. I don't live in England but I have visited several times, each time in March/April, and during each of those visits I did indeed need a rain coat, etc, as it rained 70% of the time, and was quite cool.

Regardless, you'll have a marvelous time...I know I did! Enjoy! Laughing

Welcome to the POE (Pictures of England) forum Brenda.

It is advisable to pack a GOOD rain coat, STURDY umbrella and KNEE HIGH wellies (thinking that's what duckies are) ANY month you travel to England.

I hope you have a wonderful time, take lots of pictures and post them here on POE for all of us to enjoy.

Visit us again here on the forums too, and tell us all about your trip.

Your trip is approaching fast Brenda, Exactly what are 'duckies'? Oh and yes, it WILL rain; but only in fits and starts as we say and especially during the month of April lol
