Hi Jackie and welcome to Pictures of England.

Please can you give us a clue regarding the location of Beavan Hill, nearest town or at least the county?

hello cathyml...lm so .sorry l think it should be spelt Bevan Hill .All l know is that there is a Bevan Hil in Newent, near Aston Ingham and Gorsley, in Herefordshire..l cant find it yet on the map but l did find one picture of the Hill on google. All l can see on 1841 census is that my ancester was recorded as living at Bevan Hill and buried at Aston Ingham. Some of the early census spell the surname Shot instead of Shott.l know a little about the my tree 1841 onwards but lm curious to find out ab out this place, kind regards Jackie
