(Here you are Peggy, as requested)

England,  my England

Goodbye to my England, so long my old friend

Your days are numbered, being brought to an end

To be Scottish, Irish or Welsh that's fine

But don't say you're English, that's way out of line.

The French and the Germans may call themselves such

So may Norwegians, the Swedes and the Dutch

You can say you are Russian or maybe a Dane

But don't say you're English ever again.

At Broadcasting House the word is taboo

In Brussels it's scrapped, in Parliament too

Even schools are affected, staff do as they're told

They must not teach children about England of old.

Writers like Shakespeare, Milton and Shaw

The pupils don't learn about them anymore

How about Agincourt, Hastings, Arnhem or Mons?

When England lost hosts of her very brave sons.

We are not Europeans, how can we be?

Europe is miles away, over the sea

We're the English from England, let's all be proud

Stand up and be counted............shout it out loud!

Let's tell our Government and Brussels too

We're proud of our heritage and the Red, White and Blue

Fly the flag of Saint George or the Union Jack

Let the world know....WE WANT OUR ENGLAND BACK !!!

If you are English, please pass it on!!

Good title Ron!  It is long passed time the English stood up for England. Can you imagine telling the French or the Germans they are not French or German but Europeans - no more national anthems or separate flags - that would be a joke!

If you are proud of your heritage, your country and its "indigenous" people fly the flag, get a bumper sticker - proclaim it out loud - tell the world. Maybe POE could make a bumper sticker we could all get!!

"We love England & are proud to be English" on the St George's flag of course

Hi Cathy, we can thank Peggy for the above post. Her son passed it to her and Peggy, unable to work out how to get it to the forum, asked me to do it for her. I feel honoured to be able to do it on behalf of Peggy and England.

And yes the POE sticker is a nice idea, but it's the same old story I suspect, who will pay for it? I would certainly chip in!

Thanks for that Ron, it makes me so ANGRY at how we are being treated, I am going to print out my e mail and put it in our MPs letterbox

Thanks Cathyml,  I am going to get a pic and have it as a car sticker.

There is a picture on here somewhere and I cannot remember by whom but it says

England, a breed apart

Hi Peggy - the picture with "England, a breed apart" is on my new tour " For England and St George" the second picture.

I'd buy one a sticker Ron and probably send them as presents to all the English I know here in SA (and in the UK too).  I think it is time to stand up and be counted!

If anyone over here makes reference to me being European, or England being part of Europe, I tell them that I am English and England belongs to no man (Sadly that's true, England doesn't even belong to England anymore).
