 Gibson Martini

Have you ever been to The Dukes Martini bar in London?

...but in your pubs, especially in Somerset, I was introduced to a drink I'd never heard of called Scrumpy! Loved the stuff. Not available here.

Scrumpy is fine but try and avoid it in large quantities!!! You may regret it! Especially the stuff that's produced in a tin bath out the back of the pub!

MacAllan rools KO!

And the Southwest is probably more affluent in many areas and has a slower pace of life than the rest of the country. Quite a lot of people retire there - fairly well off people i might add, lol! This may account for the figures being higher.

Hi James, just taking a short break, but would always agree to a good pint of bitter. Don't have a real favourite but do like a drop of John Smiths. Boddingtons goes down quite well as does Sam Smiths. But I do like to try beers from the smaller breweries around. For such a relatively small area there is a very good choice in the Lake District, which is just one of the many reasons I like to go there. 2 weeks on Saturday and another weeks worth of daily trivia reports will be forthcoming
