Welcome and congratulations on your excellent peotry

Andy

I forgive you. 'the horse-whisperer of Ol' Bodmin Town' will go down as an immortal classic.

You'd think that when I do things right,

especially in life,

The Lord above would help, not spite

me and my loving wife.

But that's not true, nor is it fair,

so what's a man to do?

Why should I care, why have I cared?

I haven't got a clue.

It's not just me that suffers now

and that's what hurts so much,

this tension caused our only row

I need her tender touch.

We live our lives just once you see,

there is no second chance

be just as good as you can be

then dance the final dance.

Look back, my friend, to times gone by,

take comfort in your past,

you did your best, without a lie,

no shadows did you cast,

on anyone or anything,

be proud that is the case

now fight this illness all the way

a smile upon your face.

For anyone with an illness. Andy.

My thanks to all who, with warm hearts, greeted me.  My apologies for the sour-puss image of me ...I am undertaking equally disgusting treatment for Lukaemia...I may even write a poem on the theme

How deeply saddening it was to read about your Leukaemia Harry.  I would like to send you my heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery.
