This post has just come to the top so I thought I'd add my tuppence worth.  Most of the sweets mentioned (coca cola, sherbets etc) can still be bought by the scoopful at our local Wilkinsons.

Mmmmm fudge! I don't eat that kind of stuff very often anymore; I dream about it instead! LOL! My favorite is milk chocolate fudge with nuts. Sigh.

Was that clotted cream fudge, Lyn?  We found some of that in a little candy shop in the Shambles in York.  It came in a box that read."Thank you for watching my cat."  We a box for our neighbor who took care of our kitties whilst (lol) we were over there.

I used to like aniseed balls, English humbugs and bullseyes. And of course a stick of Blackpool rock. Tongue out

Imps, weren't they the little black licorice sweets? That or I've got licorice on the brain today.

Actually, talking about licorice, did anyone try the Fox's Glacier Licorice sweets? I bought some on my last trip (just had one a few mo's ago) they are WONDERFUL!

You must mean the Fox's Glacier Dark, do you?  I only ask because there's a packet right in front of me on the computer desk, and there's just one sweet left in it!
