OK.  On hot summer days in Cornwall, what do you do to keep Kevin and Goldie from digging holes in the yard so they have someplace cool to lie down in?

Well, I don't have a top field, Denzil, so what should I do here?

PS - What happened to the tractor in January?  I thought that if there was any piece of labor saving device that would work in January, it would be a tractor!

Can you handle both these questions, in one posting, Denzil?

Ill try Ruth  if your dog is hot cool it down by placing it in front of your swamp cooler for no longer than 7 minutes at a time you dont want the dogs temperature to fall too much  Dr Denzil

regarding the tractor the sprocket came loose on the drive shaft which in turn unbalanced the gudgeon pin in piston 3 rendering it useless and it lost horsepower as a result then the crankshaft unzipped itself from the wheel bearing and it made loads of holes  Dr Denzil

Thanks, Dr. D. Undecided

I have a sneaky suspicion that Mrs. T typed those answers, Denzil.

PS - I don't have a swamp cooler.  Only refrigeration, and it's on the roof!  So what do I do now?!?

I think you should move it would be easier than climbing a ladder every time you want some milk or butter

Dear Dr D.

The last time I visited Cornwall my dog chased and killed a Bantam (chicken)

The question is:How do I train her so that she doesn't do that! I would even settle for a compromise so she only severely maimed them, that's better than killing them.

Thanks Dr D.

Dr D,

Thank you for your advice, you make it all so simple. Why don't I stay here in kennels and just send the dog?
