Believe me Wolf, I had the same trouble.  Even the 'My Account' page just would npot show the new piccie.  I had to refresh (but only thought of it after half a dozen tries at replacing the Avatar).  Hope you think its fair bonzer, mate.

Personally I still prefer the pic with the (brown) paper bag, if only I could find it.

But as you can see, the smile (?) is not a great improvement. The pic was taken at Durham Miners Gala (aka as The Big Meeting) this year by a guy called Terry, who I'd never even met before.  For some reason other photographers want to take pics of me (I suppose its because if the camera can survive that it can survive almost anything).  They tell me I'm an 'old fashioned photographer' (with an EOS?) or a 'character', although they haven't prefixed the word with 'bad' yet.

On second thoughts, the paper bag is out!  Made me look too much like a KKK member.

Thanks for the email, Diana. I tried to answer a couple of times but it always got rejected (I think my 'radiolondra' gets tagged as spam lol ). Will try again to let you have my address.  However, postacard from Italy will be on its way for you soon:).

Thanks Diana, Catherine and Maria for your kind comments.  I have to admit that a smile is not something I wear very often.  Believe or deny, as you wish.
