Merlin is such a cute name. Did you ever get another cat?

Not yet Cathy; it's only been 8 weeks since I had to put my baby to sleep and it's much too soon for me to adopt another (I had Merlin for 14 years). I figure I'll wait at least a year before I seriously consider getting another.

Good news; the puppies have been checked out by the vet and except for a few scratches they are fine!  Amazing!

Lucky pups!

Give 'em a pat on the head and a belly-rub for me.

You're friend must be delighted, Diana.

I'm sorry about Merlin, Diana!  Frown

I'm the same with Maggie and Ollie.  My Maggie has a big lump on her leg and we have to get it removed.  That should be happening in the next few weeks. I'm really worried about it.

I am very happy the pups are fine!!  YEA!!!

John, he was so relieved that I could actually hear him "tearing up" over the phone.

Krissy, I am so sorry about Maggie. My heart goes out to you and so do my prayers that she'll be alright.

Good outcome Di, glad all turned out fine.

Krissy, is Maggie a cat or dog, hope all is ok. Could it be a cyst caused by a grass seed ?

Krissy, my prayers are with you and Maggie. My cats all have had lumps, some okay and some not okay. Just keep your chin up and kiss and hug that baby.

Thank you everyone!!  Maggie is a standard poodle!  She seems fine other than the lump.  The dog is my dad's really. My stepmom passed away the same week my dad retired and since he moved he needed someone to take her.  So I did.  My dad now has to decide which course of action to take with her now. To aspirate (sp?) the lump or just remove it.  Mega bucks no matter what you do!!

Krissy, my heart goes out to you. It's an AWFUL feeling when an animal's life comes down to "can I afford the medical expenses to keep him/her alive".  Nothing makes you feel more helpless or guilty.
