Oh my, what a sad and shocking way to start the week, words fail me. I had thought Syd had not posted for a while. I am so saddened , Syd was just finding his way again after his own loss. Thoughts and prayers to all close to our friend Syd.

This is such sad and shocking news. Syd was such a really nice guy and a valued member of the site and we know he made a lot of friends here on PoE. God rest his soul. Our deepest condolences go out to all Syd's family and friends. RIP Syd.

Just read this I am lost for words,  can't believe it, I knew he would be off poe for a while because of moving house, I had also been in contact with Syd by e mail, and we al know he was so very happy to have found Barbara and looked forward to their visit to England this year, I guess it was sudden and I hope he did not suffer, and I hope his sons read this and know how very very sorry we are for them also for Barbara who gave him new found happiness, Can't believe it.
