When I read about Pete Seeger's passing, I was suprised to learn If I Had A Hammer was one of his songs; I thought it was Trini Lopez's who had his first hit single with it in 1963---and happy to learn he is still around recording at 76.

Maximilian Schell Austrian actor has died aged 83--he played a very good part in the Odessa File with Jon Voight.

I didn't realise he was that old, looking on IMDB he's only just finished another film. He won an Oscar in 1962 for Judgement at Nuremburg.
