Pig of a day this neck of the woods. Got into work @ 7 as usual , did the till and the banking and rthe paper work- so far so good. Turn on press and hhmmm taking a long time for the boiler to fl with water- a long standing issue scale build-up on the water inlet. Nothing for it but to get out the tool box and remove the pipe plug to rod through- no chance! Set solid, try the alternative way and remove other section of pipe, that set solid but by now seal broken and water leaking from it , back to it and try th plug again lean on the stilsons big time no joy AND THEN (bw aware I am in a confined space under the press head ) the stilsons slip of the end I fall forward and head butt the brass vacumn valve for the bottom buck- it won! Sore head and a nice war wound I gave up and called up an engineer, luckily he as available and turned up hour or so later ( he had to come up from Sussex ) and he was on the case and a while later we were in business. All very well but it is coming up on lunchtime and no pressing done so for the rest of the day it was play catch-up. Made some head way but will have a barrow load come Thursday when I go back in next. Oh joy.

Hope you folk have had a better day.

Oh heck Vince what a day, one thing we don't have here is scale. I lived briefly in Bedfordshire many year ago and was completely bemused by the white stuff that built up in my kettle, I also couldn't understand why bubble bath and shower gel failed to create bubbles, I had to ask a neighbour what was wrong with the water. Not long after I moved back home. Hope your injuries clear up soon Smile
