The videos featuring Hannah Hauxwell are very interesting. It's amazing how Hannah survived on  £240-280 a year at a time when the average annual income in the UK was £2,262. It was a very lonely existence and there was no electricity or running water.

Hannah had a bad fall when she was about 74 and broke her hip.She walks with the aid of two walking sticks.As she says, “there’s a lot to be grateful for, good friends and good neighbours."
