Andy, that Grey Heron (we call it a Great Blue Heron in the States) is wonderful.

I wonder if John used a zoom? Did he get in the water, was he in a hide? I'd love to know some of the stories behind the shots we see here.

Definitely zoom Sue, you just can't get that close to a heron!  Most likely in a hide too, or at least some good cover. John will hopefully tell us.
