I have seen so many pictures, where my first thought is 'that is quintessentially English'; so I thought I'd start a new picture thread.

These pictures can be anything from a country scene, to a picture of a tea shop. Whatever strikes you personally as being quintessentially English.

A thatched cottage in Tudor style. Perfection!

Maybe you need to be an ex-pat in order to see a pic and think "that is just so England". 

I did that when I saw this one, so I was quite surprised and pleased to see you started this new thread Sue, I think it will be a good one!Smile

Looks like Lucsa is back in the country and blessing us with his great photography. 

What would England be without it's thatched cottages. I love this one, hidden away down the lane.

re the thatched pub --i was talking to someone who has a thatched bugalow and reckons it cost'sin the region of £25,000 to have it re-thatched.
