Kings Head, Collingham, Nottinghamshire. Many pubs have names of famous people and perhaps the most famous person in the land in times gone by was the King. Royal names have always been popular pub names (except under Oliver Cromwell's rule during the Commonwealth). It demonstrated the landlord's loyalty to authority (whether he was loyal or not) hence the large number of pubs bearing the name "King's Head".
