In Memory of T.E Lawrence

On the roadside between Clouds Hill and Bovington Camp the plaque at the bottom reads:- This tree was planted on the 13th May 1983 by Mr Tom Beaumont who served with Lawrence in Arabia as his No1 Vickers machine Gunner. Even though it is next to a busy main Road it is very peaceful at this spot.

On the roadside between Clouds Hill and Bovington Camp, the inscription reads:- Near this spot Lawrence of Arabia crashed his motorcycle and was fataly injured..13th May 1935
