There has been a Church here since the 11th century, the current building was rebuilt by Thomas Telford in 1794.

Footbridge over Gorge

Footbridge over the gorge from Severn Valley Railway to the Castle Park and Gardens.... This is as far as I went, too high for me!

Bridgnorth Castle

Bridgnorth Castle

Although very little remains of the original structure, this Norman Castle at one time covered the whole cliff side and housed hundreds of people. The Castle was blown up in 1646 by Cromwell’s forces.
