Swan Family On The River Bank at Clifton Hampden, Oxfordshire

Black and white photo of a family of swans, including cygnets, in the shade on the banks of the River Thames at Clifton Hampden, Oxfordshire. I had fed the male swan with bread by hand, and it is seen here taking a drink of water from a plastic container. He was extremely friendly - and he liked eating sweetcorn from a tin that I also held for him.

The much-restored Church of St. Michaels and All Hallows, on a hill overlooking the River Thames at Clifton Hampden, Oxfordshire, contains an ancient font. In the Churchyard is the grave of one of the bomber crews who took part in the 'Dam Busters Raid' over Germany in World War Two.
