Dogs and Ducks and Swans. As the locals to the pond enjoy a graceful glide around the pond these two dogs are caught in a brief moment of calm, they spent most of the time chasing one another in and out and around the pond, two very energetic hounds indeed. Bookham 'rolls out the barrel' June 16th 2012 and it's Bookham's Village Day. The theme was not surprisingly 'The Olympics'. However that did not stop the Young's Brewery Dray making an appearance again this year and a fine pair of horses they were too. For best part of an hour right outside the shop we had a lorry parked waiting for the parade to start and on board was a steel band, and they practiced/played all the time! Great Bookham Echinopsis A Busy day ahead but I get to work and spend the next 40 minutes with camera on tripod to capture this bloom, mind you after days growing the bud the flower lasts about 12 hours hence the urgency.
