As I finish this book up, I started another one, murder/detective "catch the bad guy type"...I can hardly wait to where its at the peak of it's suspense and everyone gets in the wrath fo the 1906 San Francisco earthquake of all things. "Summer" sounds so much like my mid-western family...they don't talk quite like an southerner, but the "family" element is there amoung them, she's correct, being raised out here and going back there, one feels like an "stranger" amoung them in ways...I haven't been back there since my grandfather and dad died, none of themkeep in contact for the most part...most the people I knew and communicated with are no longer alive. It's getting that way these days. My hubby's younger sister is much like Jewel is right now..she's had both breast's removed and told it's spreading, that was an year ago, the miltary brought her son back from Eurpore, he's an computer programmer in the air force.."lifer". He's not to far away where she can't go an see him now in her remaining days. They are more like this book's family back east, they talk the southern way, though live in an hefty sized "resort" lake area...this sister I remember at 16, an "coke in one hand, and ciggarette in the other", constantly. Good looking when she was young also. thought of her as I read this...but I've aleady held my good friend through Cancer already...as she died couple year's back...her daughter called me in the wee hours of the morning when she passed over. Seems all anyone ever "wanted" was just an decent comfortable life with their kids about them...noithing really "fancy" as to say. Never really got there in ways...including my own mother. Such isn't life these days I guess any more. It is such an gorgeous day out today, you can tell"Spring" made it finally..it's still battling, but it's here...other people over here are saying they are seeing their first birds returning from migration also, reports of bears coming out of hybernation... so another "season" is upon us.

He has torn a tendon and badly twisted his foot. They decided not to plaster it as it would restrict his use of his ankle and heel so it is bandaged and he needs to go back to the hospital in two weeks - in the mean time he's still on crutches. We went to the dentist and I've had a filling and I still have a frozen face! I have had a condemnation order on some of my teeth - Boo-hoo!!! Looks like you'll be seeing a toothless grin on here soon! |

He's always accepting new patients. I hate the dentist, so my heart goes out to you too Stephanie. I just had my eyes checked. The Doc put some drops in to dilate the pupils and now they are huge . He said it took really well, and not to expect them to go down until later this afternoon. It looks like I'm high on something . Good day all! |
