I usually make Leek and Potato Soup and Welsh Cakes to celebrate, but today is also my husbands 50th birthday and we are heading up to the big city and a proper restaurant (Red Lobster) to celebrate.

We will be staying up there until Tuesday, so you all be good on the forums.

Happy Saint David's Day!

Here is a Daffodil, the national emblem of Wales.

Ed (you were actually pretty close Ron), my husband, thanks everyone for the birthday wishes.

We had a SUPER time in the big city, spending two nights ($50.00 for two nights in a big hotel, not bad) in our favourtie hotel. Shopped for things that we can't get in our little rural town, swam in the pool, ate at our favourtie restaurants, Red Lobster and The Outback.

It did rain all day yesterday which made driving and going in and out of places a pain, but hey, we need the rain.

We left early this morning to come home as a snow storm was coming in, and we wanted to out run it on the two and a half hour trip home.

Thanks again for all your well wishes.
