Hi

My husband and I are pensioners and we will be coming to England soon, I hope. We are mainly interested in history and natural history rather than the nightlife etc. I have been looking all day for websites that might reflect some of our interests and this site looks like just what I was looking for.

Welcome to POE from Anna and Ron also Angela. As Stephanie says there's a lot of help available here in the forum, you only have to ask the family members! It is indeed a great website and forum with enough pictures of England to keep you going for many months yet. Enjoy it and join in whenever you can.

Hi Angela...another Melbourne-ite here...you have just found the ultimate site for planning a trip to the UK....warning....this site is addictive and you can spend hours here browsing through the most stunning photography. How long are you planning on being in the UK and what season are you thinking about coming?

Hi

I feel really welcomed. We are now planning to arrive in May and stay to the start of July. We are interested in the south - Kent and Surrey - where I grew up a VERY long time ago and south-west where some of our ancestors came from - Somerset and Devon. My huband has never been north of the equator.

We might also take a quick trip over to Dublin where my husband's great grandmother came from.

Very best wishes to you all.

Angela
