High Sweden Bridge track On the track from Ambleside upto High Sweden Bridge looking west through the trees over Loughrigg to the Langdale Pikes in the distance, one of my favourite short walks about 3 miles which try to do on the Saturday afternoon when I arrive. A nice short walk to get the legs into walking mode again and also see if they can remember the route to the Golden Rule! High Sweden Bridge High Sweden Bridge the turning point for this short stroll. Quite a good flow of water this visit due mainly to the melt waters coming off the fells from the snow. Black sheep of the family Just one of hundreds of lambs out on the fells, one of the reasons for choosing the week early in May that I did, another reason was to try to capture some daffodils but although they were everywhere to be seen most were just past their best by about a week and the bluebells had not yet sprung into life yet! Wateredge 6 The landing stages at Ambleside from Borrans Field. This was 12-12-12 around 3-30 to 4pm and the only life around apart from me and my mate was this guy fishing and a duck!!!!
