About Horsley Woodhouse

Horsley Woodhouse is a picturesque traditional Derbyshire village lying close to several other villages in the north east region of the county that are of a similar ilk. It has a long main street, a church and all the usual village amenities.

The countryside of the area is mainly agricultural and very scenic. At close-by Horsley there is a golf club, but activities in the area mostly extend to walking. There are many pretty places to visit as well as the American Adventure Park at Shipley.

Horsley Woodhouse is ideal for anyone wishing to explore the landscape of the Higher Peak and the Peak District National Park, or Derby, the county's famous centre for administration. It is also within easy reach of Nottingham where you may wish to visit the legendry Sherwood Forest.
