Description

A quiet pint in Huddersfield.

The traditional pint is, like the British pub, unique to our culture. I took this candid shot whilst enjoying lunch in a J.D.Wetherspoon pub not far from the railway station in Huddersfield. It was taken on 7th December 2012, but I hope it has a timeless feel. 1/13th sec (hand held) F5.6 ISO 800, lens zoomed to 98mm.

It's a really good shot Rod, I especially like the use of selective colour.

Excellent sharpness for 1/13 sec at 98mm, I like the colour of the beer in the otherwise monochrome setting

Great shot Rod, often selective colouring looks a bit of a cliché, however you have done a brilliant job. Wish I had taken it!

An excellent shot with a narrative of its own. The retained colour is very effective. The man's pose and the empty glass suggest he may be here for some time.
