Hi, I have already mentioned in another thread that I like snow, but unfortunately we see very little of it on the coast of Norfolk.

So here is your chance to make me jealous when snow comes to you! Tell us when and where in England you see the first covering of snow this winter.

Some pictures would be nice obviously!

Lets see who gets it and reports it first. I can assure you it won't be me Cry.

Well no snow in Oxford yet, just lots of wind and rain. Hoping we see some snow soon though, so the kids can have some fun.

Hi Ian...I'm sad like you...I would love just to see a picture of snow or somekind of moisture!  Here in North Carolina, we are in an "exceptionally" severe drought and we would love to see snow, sleet, hail or rain of anykind.Cry

With all the weird weather patterns we seem to be having lately we will probably see snow in May! Laughing

Yes I know what you mean Dennis!, why is it that half of Europe and other parts of the world carry on regardless under a mountain of snow and this country grinds to a halt after an inch of the stuff? Undecided

Snowing steady, albeit lightly, here on Cape Cod.Forecasters predict  3-6  inches.Pratically a snowless winter in NYC however, only 2.9 inches al winter thus far.I remember we always had some snow every winter when I was stationed inSuffolk during the 60's,sometimes heavy falls occured but not often.Global warming folks, its going to kill us all eventually.

Thought I'd post some pictures of snow in England, albeit the winter of '62/'63

These were taken up Shotover, Nr. Wheatley, Oxford and I remember how great it was to be a kid in the snow.

Where I live (not in England) we are forecast 6 - 8 inches of snow today, not bad for desert Nevada.

(Here's hoping I post these correctly)
