On October 8th/9th/10th at Battle East Sussex there is a re-enactment of the battle plus loads of interesting things to do and see there over the three days. Celestial events played a great part in the Pagan/Christian Medievel period. I believe Comets were seen as portents of doom.......Certainly was in Harolds case, lol. PS.
