How bout "bangers 'n mash?"  Is that a local dialect phrase or is it a countrywide expression?

Hi Ruth,

'Bangers and Mash' sausages and mashed potatoes - is a country-wide expression, although I suspect it originated in cockney London.

Hi Ray:

Thanks!  I never realized that the bobby hats were actually helmets?  Are you a former police officer, Ray, and is that you in your younger days?
