I loved my Merlin dearly but I am not crazy enough to think it would actually be him that I would be bring back. Yikes! 

It'll be people next. Can you imagine some poor soul thinking that he/she could "clone" their dead child?  The implications are frightening.  So many ethical and moral questions.

There are certain words that provoke knee-jerk responses.

Cloning is one of them.

I thinks it's wonderful that our knowledge has progressed to the point where we can do things like this. We live in amazing times, and genetic research is going to supply huge benefits over the next 50 years.

Of course there are dangers and we need to be aware of them - but our increasing ability to understand the fundamental mechanisms of life is a fantastic thing, in my opinion.
